Forester's lookout tower

The hillside above Zalakaros is covered by forest, which is the lungs of the town. At the edge of the forest, in the continuation of Park utca, lies one of Zalakaros's notable points, the Forester's lookout tower.

It is located on the edge of the settlement towards Zalamerenye, from where a wonderful panorama will open up before us from on high.

In good weather, the Little Balaton and the Balaton Uplands are clearly visible. Pleasant walking paths lead through the area of the park forest, while at the Kilátó Wine Bar visitors can rest and refresh themselves.

The forest occasionally serves as the venue for sporting events; a circuit mountain-bike race, hiking tours, as well as family and sports days are held here.

This atmospheric visitor spot is among the most popular, offering an experience for adults, families and the elderly alike.
