Reformed and Lutheran Church

As the fourth church, the Reformed and Lutheran Church should be mentioned, which welcomes its faithful on Helikon utca. The church is used by both the Reformed and the Lutheran denominations for holding services and congregational gatherings.

It is true that only a small part of the town's population is Reformed or Lutheran, but every year several thousand visitors of these denominations arrive in the town, from both home and abroad. For a long time, the Reformed believers living in Hévíz had no church, and held their gatherings in private houses and in the cultural hall of the Spa Hospital. The Lutherans, meanwhile, met in the small hall of the cinema, then in the lounge of Hotel Alba and in the cultural hall of the hospital. The town's representative body donated the present plot to the denominations in 1994. The construction was also supported by the municipality, and then a collection was launched to cover the further costs of the works, which began in 1995.

The foundation stone of the Reformed church was laid on 21 June 1997. The completed church was consecrated by Dr. Béla Harmati, Lutheran bishop, and Dr. Mihály Márkus, Reformed bishop.

The bell in the tower is positioned under an open arch; it was donated to the church by Károly Borsos together with his family.
